MQ Research & Education™ is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization founded on the belief that a multidisciplinary and research-based approach to financial planning, education, counseling, and therapeutic processes will guide best practices for fostering economic and personal well-being.

To this end, we conduct innovative studies; form fruitful collaborations with researchers, scholars, and practitioners; and provide opportunities for in-depth learning and dialogue. Our goal is to facilitate a greater understanding of both the emotional and practical factors that support achievement of financial acumen and meaningful life goals.

The Challenge

“Let’s face it. An individual’s relationship with money is a lifelong dance, a dance taking each of us from the most macro of socio-political realities to those relationships of exceeding intimacy - those with our Selves, our spouses and our families. Money challenges each of us on different levels from daily function to spiritual complexity.

The Strategy

“The scientific method provides a framework for validating the profession’s best practices so that practitioners can have confidence that their “best” practices are based on the “best” evidence…

…we propose that the time has come to commit ourselves as a profession to a more scientifically grounded and evidence-based approach to expanding our body of knowledge and assessing and adopting best practices.”
